I have been wanting to set up my own website for a while but for many reasons it has been delayed. Having been in lockdown for over two months now there's really no reason for me not to get on to it. So here it is.

The reason for this website is so that I can showcase the work that I have done over the years. My work is scattered everywhere on the internet so I needed to compile my videos, articles and social media materials and document them in one place. Unfortunately, some have been deleted and are now gone from the internet forever but I can only blame myself for not archiving them. My hope is this website will be a useful resource for people to get to know me and get insights into my experience.

So, as I was digging through articles that I have written for magazines and websites, I realised that I had forgotten I had even written some of them.

When I first started my career, I was mainly focused on Malaysian football and am now reminded that I was very outspoken about it in my writing. I was critical towards unfairness, bad management and the politics that are unfortunately still omnipresent in Malaysian football. I had almost forgotten that I cared about it so much.

This is one I wrote for The Malaysian Insider and is one of my favourites. You can find the others under 'Work' on this website. I’m amazed that I was this brave and, to be honest, I miss the freedom that I had to speak my mind.

I also realised that after joining the corporate world, I stopped writing - something I have been doing since high school. I used to write a daily blog about anything and everything - life, movies, football, relationships, people etc. I had quite a number of followers too, some of whom have even become my good friends.

The last time I properly wrote something was in 2015. That's five long years ago. I want to have that creativity and enthusiasm back. That is why I created a blog section on this website so that I can continue to write. As much as this website is supposed to be 'professional', I also want it to be a platform where I can express myself. I also hope the content of this site will be useful to others too.
